In order to provide a positive and encouraging atmosphere we ask that coaches, parents, and spectators set a good example for all in attendance by following these guidelines:
- Parents and Spectators: Please do not coach players from the sidelines. This can directly conflict with what the Coach is trying to teach. Parents may have good intentions but please refrain from shouting instructions to your child or other players.Players must make mistakes to learn. Let the Coach address these mistakes and instead focus on giving these young players encouragement to keep trying. Help them build confidence and a love of the game.
- Coaches: You are responsible for the verbal/physical actions of your spectators. Verbal/physical abuse of referees by anyone will not be tolerated.
- All in attendance: Please demonstrate respect for each other.
Players look to adults as a role models. Critical remarks about coaches,
players, or referees are unnecessary and can be hurtful. These games are
friendlies and player development is the focus.
